Atlanta extended its winning streak to 10 games, but the value was in the early innings. Rookie Hurston Waldrep kept the Nationals quiet, allowing just one run across six innings while working out of a couple of jams. Washington managed only five hits against him, and despite a late homer from James Wood and two blasts from Michael Harris II, the damage came too late to threaten our number. The first five innings closed at just 1-1, giving us a smooth under before the Braves’ power bats decided it.

Kansas City might have been eliminated from postseason contention earlier in the night, but they came out swinging in Anaheim. Bobby Witt Jr. and Adam Frazier each drove in two runs, while Salvador Perez made franchise history by moving into second place on the Royals’ all-time RBI list. Perez’s first-inning single set the tone, and Maikel Garcia added three hits and three runs scored to fuel the offense. Starter Cole Ragans struck out 10 over five innings, showing he’s back in form after his IL stint. Even with late homers by the Angels, the Royals never looked threatened, cruising to an 8-4 victory and putting our moneyline play in the win column.
