Atlanta made it nine straight wins with an 11-5 rout of the Nationals, powered by Ronald Acuña Jr. reaching base five times and rookie Drake Baldwin driving in two more runs. Chris Sale finally picked up his first career win against Washington despite a shaky outing, while Ozzie Albies exited with a fractured hand. A controversial check-swing walk set up a five-run third inning that blew the game open.

Scoring came early and often in San Francisco, where Iván Herrera’s two-run homer sparked a big fifth inning as St. Louis rallied past the Giants 6-5. Jordan Walker added an RBI groundout and the Cards capitalized on a key error to pull ahead. Heliot Ramos homered and drove in three for San Francisco, but Justin Verlander’s rough outing doomed the Giants as both offenses pushed the total Over.
