NFL: Cincinnati Bengals vs Minnesota Vikings Over 42.5 - 1 Unit (-110) - Win - 1 unit

We opened the weekend with a split. The Iowa vs Rutgers Over (45.5) cashed with room to spare as the Hawkeyes turned an expected slugfest into a 38-28 shootout behind Mark Gronowski’s three rushing scores. On the diamond, though, our Athletics +1.5 play came up short despite big nights from rookies Nick Kurtz and Lawrence Butler, as the A’s edged Pittsburgh 4-3 but failed to cover the runline. A push on units for the day.

Saturday brought more mixed results. Troy vs Buffalo Under (44.5) hit in dramatic fashion, even with the Trojans scoring 21 unanswered in the fourth quarter to pull out a 21-17 win. Georgia State (+27.5), however, never stood a chance against Vanderbilt’s historic night, as the Commodores rolled to 70 points - their most in over a century - and blew past the number. We finished essentially flat at -0.02 units.

Sunday delivered a clean sweep. The Bengals vs Vikings Over (42.5) soared thanks to Minnesota’s defense forcing five turnovers and contributing two touchdowns in a 48-10 rout, easily clearing the total. The Cowboys vs Bears Under (50.5) also cashed, with Chicago’s Caleb Williams tossing four scores in a 31-14 win but the pace and defensive stops keeping it safely under. That’s +2 units on the NFL slate.

Braves -1.5

Analysis:

Atlanta has quietly turned into one of the stronger September teams, stringing together eight straight wins and consistently cashing the run line along the way. Chris Sale takes the ball, and he’s been a stabilizing force with a sub-2.50 ERA and excellent strikeout command, giving the Braves a clear edge on the mound.  [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

MLB: St. Louis Cardinals vs San Francisco Giants - 1 Unit (-109) - 9:45pm ET

Under 8

Analysis:

Both teams enter this matchup with similar records and very little left to play for, but the pitching setup points strongly toward a lower-scoring game. Justin Verlander has looked vintage in September, holding opponents to just one earned run across his last four starts while working deep into games… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
