Sports Corner Daily’s Results Yesterday’s Recap

Check out a quick recap of our FREE plays from yesterday. ⤵️

Wednesday 09/17/2025:  -.3 Units

MLB: Blue Jays to win  - 1 Unit (-130) - Lost - -1.3 unit

MLB: Royals to win - 1 Unit (-115) - Win - 1 unit

In Tampa, our Blue Jays play (-130) came up short in a game decided by one spectacular defensive moment. With Toronto threatening in the fourth, Alejandro Kirk lifted a deep drive that looked destined for a three-run homer - until Rays center fielder Chandler Simpson went over the wall to bring it back. Instead of breaking the game open, the Jays settled for a sacrifice fly, and Simpson wasn’t done. The rookie later lined a go-ahead single in the seventh, finishing 3-for-4 and carrying Tampa Bay to a 2-1 win that ended Toronto’s six-game winning streak. Kevin Gausman gave the Jays six strong innings, but the lineup couldn’t solve Ian Seymour, who allowed just one unearned run in seven frames.

Meanwhile in Kansas City, our Royals pick (-115) cashed in dramatic fashion as they snapped Seattle’s 10-game winning streak with a 7-5 victory. Salvador Perez set the tone early with a 435-foot, three-run blast, and after the Mariners clawed back to tie, Adam Frazier delivered the decisive blow - a two-run homer in the eighth that put KC ahead for good. Seattle’s Eugenio Suárez broke out of a brutal slump with four hits and a two-run shot, but the Royals’ late rally proved too much. Carlos Estévez closed the door in the ninth for his MLB-best 40th save, sealing a statement win for Kansas City in front of the home crowd.
