We went 2–0 on the NFL board, cashing both sides of a primetime doubleheader.

The Buccaneers (+2.5) delivered late-night fireworks in Houston. Baker Mayfield once again showed his clutch gene, orchestrating an 11-play, 80-yard march in the final minutes and setting up Rachaad White’s go-ahead touchdown with just six seconds left. It was déjà vu from their opener, when Mayfield found Emeka Egbuka for a game-winner inside the final minute - making him the first Bucs QB since Doug Williams in 1980 to start a season with back-to-back game-winning drives. Tampa’s defense bent but didn’t break, and the running game piled up 169 yards to keep the Texans off balance, flipping the script on a heartbreaking 2023 loss in this same building.

Meanwhile in Las Vegas, the Chargers (-3) controlled the Raiders wire-to-wire in a 20-9 victory. Linebacker Daiyan Henley, playing through illness, set the tone with an interception on the first snap and never looked back, racking up 10 tackles, a sack, and two pass breakups. Justin Herbert was steady with 242 yards and two touchdowns - finding Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston - and even led the team in rushing. The defense suffocated Geno Smith, forcing three interceptions and holding the Raiders under 220 total yards. Jim Harbaugh’s squad now sits at 2-0 and alone atop the AFC West, staking an early claim while Kansas City stumbles.
