Tough night on the gridiron as both free plays came up short. In Winston-Salem, Wake Forest (+7.5) jumped out to a dream start with a kickoff return TD and early 14-0 lead, but the offense sputtered in the second half. NC State stormed back behind QB CJ Bailey’s three touchdown passes and a defensive pick-six, pulling away 34-24 to hand the Demon Deacons their first loss of the season.

In primetime at Lambeau, Washington (+3.5) couldn’t keep pace with the Packers despite a late push. Jordan Love threw for 292 yards and two scores, while tight end Tucker Kraft set a career-high with 124 yards to power Green Bay’s 27-18 win. The Commanders managed two fourth-quarter touchdowns, but it was too little, too late as Green Bay’s defense set the tone all night.
