Sports Corner Daily’s Results Yesterday’s Recap

Check out a quick recap of our FREE plays from yesterday. ā¤µļø

Wednesday 10/8/2025:  -0.14 Units

āŒMLB: Bryce Miller over 3.5 strikeouts - 1 Unit (-115) - Lost - -1.34 units

āœ… NHL: Matias Maccelli over 0.5 points - 1 Unit (+120) -Win - 1.2 unit

Bryce Miller’s strikeout prop never got traction. The Mariners rookie worked in and out of traffic early, but Detroit’s contact-first approach neutralized his velocity. Miller’s stuff had life - the fastball touched 97 - yet he managed just two strikeouts over 4.2 innings before being lifted at 72 pitches. The Tigers battled through long at-bats and finally broke it open late, plating nine runs to even the ALDS at 2–2 and send the series back to Seattle. The read on matchup quality was sound, but Miller simply couldn’t generate whiffs against a patient Detroit lineup that refused to chase.

The night flipped on the rink, though, as Matias Maccelli Over 0.5 Points (+120) came through cleanly in his Maple Leafs debut. Skating alongside Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies, Maccelli notched an assist on Morgan Rielly’s go-ahead goal midway through the third, showcasing the exact playmaking instincts we targeted. Toronto’s top line looked dynamic all game, controlling the puck and generating multiple high-danger looks as the Leafs pulled away late for a 5–2 win over Montreal.

Bryce Miller over 3.5 strikeouts

Analysis:

Game 4 at Dodger Stadium brings a familiar postseason question: can Tyler Glasnow translate elite stuff into playoff results? History says it’s a coin flip. The right-hander owns a 5.51 career postseason ERA and has consistently struggled with efficiency under pressure… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NFL: Philadelphia Eagles vs New York Giants - 1 Unit (-120) - 8:15pm ET

Wan’Dale Robinson Longest Reception Under 17.5

Analysis:

Thursday night at MetLife brings a tricky matchup for the Giants passing game - and a tough setup for Wan’Dale Robinson to generate any chunk plays. The slot receiver’s role under rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has been exclusively short-area production: Robinson owns a 4.0-yard average depth of target through two games with Dart and has yet to see a single pass travel more than 10 yards downfield. Joe Flacco’s getting the start for the Bengals against Green Bay, while fantasy managers are eyeing the latest running back rankings to adjust lineups ahead of Sunday. Across the league, storylines and injury updates continue to shape early-season trends. In college football, chaos and drama ruled a massive postgame brawl in Division II led to 20 suspensions, and the list of undefeated teams is shrinking fast as analysts predict when each could finally fall. Meanwhile in MLB, the postseason spotlight is heating up: the Blue Jays locked up an ALCS berth in the Bronx, the Cubs exploded with a historic first inning to extend their NLDS, and the Yankees once again bowed out despite Aaron Judge doing everything he could.
