Sports Corner Daily’s Results Yesterday’s Recap

Check out a quick recap of our FREE plays from yesterday. ā¤µļø

Monday 10/6/2025:  -0.32 Units

āŒ NFL: Brenton Strange Over 3.5 Receptions - 1 Unit (-136) - Lost - 1.32 units

āœ… MLB: Shota Imanaga Under 3.5 Strikeouts - 1 Unit (-132) - Win - 1 unit

Brenton Strange’s night started with promise but ended in frustration. The Jaguars tight end caught a 22-yard pass on his only target of the game, showing exactly why his Over 3.5 receptions prop drew sharp attention heading in. Jacksonville clearly had him scripted into the early plan, using play-action to free him down the seam for a big first-quarter gain. But that ended up being his only involvement — Strange went down with a left-hip injury before halftime and never returned.  The absence was noticeable. With Strange sidelined, the Jaguars leaned on Johnny Mundt and Dyami Brown in red-zone packages, cutting into the short-yardage looks that typically fuel his reception totals. Trevor Lawrence still delivered a gutsy, three-touchdown performance capped by his game-winning scramble, but the injury spoiled what looked like a strong setup for Strange to hit the over. It’s the kind of loss you live with — the read was right, the usage was there, but variance had other plans.

Across the diamond, Shota Imanaga gave us the clean side of the split. The Cubs’ lefty couldn’t find his rhythm against Milwaukee’s power-heavy lineup, surrendering three home runs and lasting just three innings. His command wavered from the start - too many deep counts, too many misses up in the zone - and the Brewers made him pay. Imanaga fanned just three hitters before being lifted, cashing the Under 3.5 strikeouts comfortably as Milwaukee rolled 7–3.

Logan Gilbert over 6.5 strikeouts

Analysis:

Game 3 in Detroit sets up as a pivotal swing spot in the ALDS - and one that suits Logan Gilbert’s profile perfectly. The Mariners’ right-hander has been a stabilizing force all season, and his strikeout stuff tends to travel. Gilbert’s Over 6.5 Ks has cashed in 18 of his last 23 starts as a road favorite, and tonight’s matchup gives him the runway to extend that trend… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins vs New York Rangers - 1 Unit (+118) - 8:00pm ET

Rangers -1.5

Analysis:

Game 1 at Madison Square Garden sets up well for a multi-goal Rangers result. New York’s top six (Panarin–Trocheck–LafreniĆØre / Cuylle–Zibanejad–Miller) can tilt five-on-five play, and with Adam Fox quarterbacking from the back end and Shesterkin likely in net, the Rangers’ ceiling at home is higher than Pittsburgh’s in a road opener… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

The NFL saw plenty of drama this week — Jacksonville edged out Kansas City 31-28 on Monday Night Football, while Fox Corp faces a lawsuit tied to a former quarterback’s stabbing incident. The latest power rankings shuffled too, with the 49ers and Lions leading the pack as the Eagles and Bills slip. Meanwhile, six SEC teams are now projected to make the expanded College Football Playoff. Over in MLB’s postseason, the Brewers blasted their way to a 2-0 NLDS lead over the Cubs, while the Dodgers narrowly escaped the Phillies’ late rally to go up 2-0 themselves.
