Sports Corner Daily’s Results and Yesterday’s Recap

Check out a quick recap of our FREE plays from yesterday. ⤵️

Thursday 10/23/2025: -0.24 Units

NBA: Aaron Gordon Over 5.5 Rebounds - 1 Unit (+102) - Win - 1.02 units

NFL: T.J. Hockenson Over 3.5 Receptions - 1 Unit (-126) - Lost - -1.26 units

Gordon cleared it with 8 rebounds in 39 minutes as Warriors–Nuggets turned into a 137–131 OT sprint; the handicap - Jokić’s elbow hubs pulling the 5 up and creating weak-side lanes versus a wing-heavy shot diet - showed up in a steady stream of long-miss boards (GSW 18–47 3PT), and the tight spread + extra run kept his floor intact even while he carried the scoring load (career-high 50 on 17–21 FG). And it wasn’t just big - it was historic: first Nugget ever with 50+ in a season opener, and he tied Terry Rozier’s season-opener record (2020) with 10 made threes, joining Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, Elgin Baylor, Kyrie Irving, and Anthony Davis as one of six players to drop 50+ on opening night.

Hockenson finished 2 catches on 3 targets (26 yards) as the Chargers rolled 37–10; the plan - quick game and Y-option volume versus post-snap rotation - never materialized with Minnesota stuck behind the chains (5 sacks, 3/11 on third down, 21:00 TOP), drives dying before the TE layers could build and targets funneling to Jefferson’s underneath windows, so the 3.5 never got a sweat.

NHL: Washington Capitals vs Columbus Blue Jackets - 1 Unit (-112) - 7:30pm ET

Over 6

Analysis:

This sets up as a pace-and-special-teams Over at 6 (-112): both clubs are pushing shot volume (Washington ~top-tier in attempts; Columbus likewise generating mid-30s looks) while bleeding chances the other way - Columbus sits near the bottom in shots against and Washington’s PK has lagged early, paired with a league-worst Jackets PK that invites one-timers from Ovechkin’s flank and backside taps off Carlson/Strome seams… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NBA: Memphis Grizzlies vs Miami Heat - 1 Unit (-110) - 8:00pm ET

Against the Spread - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Aaron Gordon Over 5.5 Rebounds

Analysis:

This is a role + usage over: with Tyler Herro out and Terry Rozier unavailable, Miami is funneling on-ball reps to Powell, who opened with 28 PTS, 4 AST on a ~26% usage, 36 front-court touches, and 7 potential assists - all meaningful bumps from last season… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
