Sports Corner Daily’s Results and Yesterday’s Recap
Check out a quick recap of our FREE plays from yesterday. ⤵️
Tuesday 10/14/2025: -0.07 Units
❌ MLB: Yoshinobu Yamamoto Under 16.5 Outs - 1 Unit (-127) - Lost - -1.27 units
✅ NHL: Easton Cowan Over 0.5 Points - 1 Unit (+120) - Win - 1.2 units
Wrong read. We leaned under on three pillars: Milwaukee’s patience creating pitch-count drag, Roberts’ typical October quick hook, and Yamamoto’s prior flop in this park. All three collapsed. After the first-pitch Chourio homer, Yamamoto pounded the zone, lived ahead, and forced early contact-exactly the efficiency profile that kills an outs under. He walked one, scattered three hits, and never gave Roberts a reason to reach for the ‘pen. Context mattered, too: Snell gave L.A. 8 IP in Game 1 and there was a travel day before Game 3, so there was zero leverage to micromanage a cruising starter. Net result: a throwback, complete-game gem (111 pitches, 27 outs) that made our angle dead by the middle innings.
This one followed the blueprint. Cowan’s minutes have been live enough to give him multiple paths to a cheap point on a high-event Leafs team. Toronto jumped out, weathered Nashville’s second-period push, and then their top six tilted the ice again. The ticket cashed in the third when Cowan grabbed an assist on an Auston Matthews goal, and the Leafs skated off 7–4. That’s the rookie profile we’ll keep targeting at plus money: occasional top-six looks, PP scraps in spots, and linemates who finish.

Mackie Samoskevich Over 1.5 Shots On Goal
Analysis:
Florida’s banged-up forward group has pushed more usage onto its secondary wingers, and Samoskevich is one of the winners. He’s skating in a middle-six role with Evan Rodrigues (a strong transition driver) and getting PP2 touches - exactly the combo we want for low shot totals. Florida’s power play has clicked early (they’ve scored PPGs in each of their first three games), and Samoskevich already cashed one of those, which tells you he’s trusted to shoot with the man advantage… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
NHL: Ottawa Senators vs Buffalo Sabres - 1 Unit (+130) - 7:00pm ET

Tage Thompson Anytime Goal Scorer
Analysis:
This is a classic buy-low on volume + role. Thompson is Buffalo’s primary trigger at even strength and on the top power-play looks; he finally broke the seal with his first of the year on Monday, and he gets Ottawa tonight with Linus Ullmark off to a rough start (.842 SV%, 4.07 GAA). That combination - shooters’ usage + a goalie searching for form - gives us multiple paths to a goal at a plus number. The matchup checks out... [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
📢 In Other Sports News
A loaded midweek slate: the NFL rolls into Week 7 with a full schedule preview and a fresh 2026 mock that has the Jets taking Ty Simpson at No. 1 while the Cowboys snag Caleb Downs at 12, all as injury watch dominates headlines with status checks on Marvin Harrison Jr., Emeka Egbuka and more. In college football, the Penn State opening is already a lightning rod - Matt Rhule is framed as the early favorite, but not without debate - while the list of remaining unbeatens tightens and the carousel tracker starts grading moves that could reshape the 2025–26 landscape. On the diamond, it’s old-school October: workhorse starts have L.A. heading home up 2–0, Alex Bregman is poised to test free agency with an opt-out, and the game tips its cap to the late Sandy Alomar Sr., an All-Star turned respected coach. And on this date in 1923, the Yankees claimed their first World Series, with Babe Ruth going deep as New York topped the Giants at the Polo Grounds-a reminder that October legends are built this time of year.
