Sports Corner Daily’s Results Yesterday’s Recap

Check out a quick recap of our FREE plays from yesterday. ⤵️

Monday 10/13/2025:  -0.17 Units

NFL: Michael Penix Over 7.5 Rushing Yards - 1 Unit (-117) - Lost - -1.17 units

NFL: Chicago Bears vs Washington Commanders First Half Under 24.5 - 1 Unit (-109) - Win - 1 units

Right side of the matchup, brutal result. The read was that Buffalo’s upfield rush would open scramble lanes - and it did one snap, with Penix ripping 7 yards on his first carry. From there, Atlanta never needed him on the ground. Bijan detonated the game script (170 rushing, 81-yard house call), the Falcons lived in manageable downs, and Penix played point guard from the pocket. The back-breaker: a late kneel-down that shaved the ledger and kept him stuck below the number. Sometimes the cap is live and the prop still dies by a yard.

This landed exactly how we mapped it: rain, wind, and two offenses leaning conservative early. Chicago’s script was ball control - two Jake Moody field goals in the first quarter and a Caleb Williams QB sneak to open the second. Washington needed a methodical answer (Jayden Daniels to Chris Moore), but explosive shots were rare and both fronts won enough early downs to bleed clock. Halftime: 13–7 (20 total), comfortably under the key 24. The combo of weather + pressure looks turned the first two quarters into a field-position game, and the Under never really sweated.

Easton Cowan Over 0.5 Points

Analysis:

Rookie forward Easton Cowan draws another start on Toronto’s top line alongside Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies, and the opportunity alone makes this prop worth a look. Cowan flashed confidence in his NHL debut Monday, logging 14 minutes and generating quality touches in the offensive zone. The Leafs dominated possession and outshot Detroit 40–15 despite the loss, and a similar shot volume against a Nashville team playing its second game in as many nights should produce plenty of scoring chances… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers vs Milwaukee Brewers - 1 Unit (-127) - 8:08pm ET

Yoshinobu Yamamoto Under 16.5 Outs

Analysis:

This sets up as an early hook spot for Yamamoto. Dave Roberts has a quick leash in October and last night’s Blake Snell 8.0 IP saved the bullpen, giving L.A. full relief optionality the moment traffic mounts. The matchup invites traffic: Milwaukee brings a top-tier OBP and elite speed, grinding counts and pressuring pitchers with steals, and they just saw Yamamoto poorly in Milwaukee earlier this season (couldn’t escape the 1st in his lone road start here)...
