Sports Corner Daily’s Results Weekend Recap
Check out a quick recap of our FREE plays from yesterday. ⤵️
Friday 10/31/2025: -2.1 Units
❌ NHL: Capitals -1.5 - 1 Unit (+112) - Lost - -1 units
❌ NHL: Karl Anthony Towns Over 34.5 Points + Rebounds - 1 Unit (-110) - Lost - -1.1 units
Right idea, wrong result. We laid -1.5 expecting Washington to ride home ice and a tired Isles group, but Ilya Sorokin erased the opening surge and the Caps’ 0-for-4 power play killed our margin angle. Tom Wilson gave us the lead, then a short-handed equalizer flipped momentum after a failed offside challenge. From there, a 2-on-1 finish by Bo Horvat and an empty-netter from Mat Barzal sealed it. With Dylan Strome out and Pierre-Luc Dubois exiting early, the top six never settled, Ovechkin stayed stuck at 899, and our puckline was never truly live.
Right pace, wrong distribution. We played Karl-Anthony Towns Over 34.5 P+R expecting New York to lean on him in the NBA Cup opener, but he closed 22 points + 10 boards (32). A 1–5 night from three, plus 32 minutes after a third-quarter spill while managing a quad strain, capped the volume. With Jalen Brunson (29) and OG Anunoby (26) driving the second-half push, touches spread out as Chicago shot 53.6% and kept control.
Saturday 11/1/2025: 2 Units
✅ NCAAF: Army vs Air Force Under 48.5 - 1 Unit (-115) - Win - 1 units
✅ NCAAF: Texas to win - 1 Unit (-150) - Win - 1 units
Classic service-academy Under. Both sides leaned into the ground game and clock, with Army throwing just nine passes while Air Force coughed it up three times. Even the late chaos stayed within our number: Army got stuffed on 4th-and-1 in its own end, Air Force tied it at 17 with 1:26 left, and Cale Hellums calmly marched the Black Knights to Dawson Jones’ walk-off 27-yarder. Low explosives, red-zone resistance, and time of possession did the heavy lifting.
Fast start, right side. Texas ML was a pace-and-protection play and Arch delivered: 75-yard strike to Ryan Wingo on snap one, then a clean 25-of-33 for 328 and three scores while the line kept him upright. The Horns built a 24–3 first-half cushion and led 34–10 in the fourth before Vandy’s late flurry cut it to three. The onside kick skittered out of bounds to end it.
Sunday 11/2/2025: 2.1 Units
✅ NFL: Brock Bowers Over 54.5 Receiving Yards - 1 Unit (-110) - Win - 1 units
✅ NHL: Ducks to win - 1 Unit (+110) - Win - 1.1 units
Right read, easy cash. We expected Geno to lean on Bowers against Jacksonville’s zones, and the Raiders’ second-half/OT shootout locked in the volume. Bowers turned 13 targets into 12 catches for 127 yards and 3 TDs, including a one-handed score before halftime, and kept chewing up seams and crossers as the game swung late. He cleared 54.5 well before the final drive and finished +72 yards over the number.
Right side from puck drop. We took Ducks ML at plus money and Anaheim scored on their first shot, stacked three goals in the first 22 minutes, and put New Jersey in chase mode. Cutter Gauthier and Beckett Sennecke each logged a goal and an assist, Frank Vatrano chipped in, and Chris Kreider sealed it late. Lukas Dostal (32 saves) absorbed the third-period push, and the Ducks cruised. 4–1 Anaheim

Arizona +4
Analysis:
We’re grabbing the points with a neutral-site dog that owns the early-season edges: steadier guard play, a familiar Vegas floor, and a possession count that boosts +4 viability. The NFL’s Week 9 ledger is all signal: twelve games sharpen “who’s real” tiers while Miami ships pass-rusher Jaelan Phillips to Philadelphia for a 2026 third, flipping trench math for both defenses; meanwhile Seattle’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba is tracking at record-pace volume, a live note for futures and weekly prop books. College football tightens the vise: Notre Dame crashes back into the top 10, resurgent Texas climbs, Auburn pulls the plug on Hugh Freeze after two-plus seasons, and the first CFP Top 25/early bracket models tee up November résumé wars. Baseball signs off with a classic - a Game 7 that delivered - as Toronto’s run ends in heartbreak and a raw Jeff Hoffman quote becomes the offseason’s bullpen Rorschach test. In the NBA, Week 3 power boards lift Houston and Milwaukee while OKC still sets the pace; Ja Morant trade smoke thickens with plausible landing spots, and the “Hater Report” dings a wobbly Pelicans outfit, Ja’s shooting funk, and the Warriors’ without-Draymond drag.
