Sports Corner Daily’s Results Yesterday’s Recap
The weekend is right around the corner. We wanted to start things off today by letting all of our new subscribers know that we do not send a Newsletter on Saturday and Sunday. To receive our weekend plays you have to Follow us on Facebook or Follow us on Winible. We recommend you follow us on both. Winible allows you to receive text message alerts when we send out our plays. So, click on those links above so you don’t miss out on our weekend plays.
Now, let’s address the elephant in the room. It’s been a rough week. We have been on the opposite side of some of our plays this week. As we have said before, don’t ever judge the success or failure on the results of a short term window. That goes both ways. What I mean by that is if we hit a cold streak where we lose a couple days in a row don’t say “oh man these guys over here at Sports Corner Daily don’t know what the hell they are doing.” On the flip side when we go on our runs like we did last month, don’t empty out your bank account and throw the house on our next round of bets. Betting is a long game. Stick to your strategy. Focus on acquiring units over time and watch your bankroll climb! If you don’t understand what we mean we talk about units - I put together a little cheat sheet that will give you an understanding of how to bet properly, how to use a simple formula to ensure you are setting yourself up for bankroll growth. So click this link here and learn more about how to bet focusing on units!
🛑 QUICK FYI - We haven't had a losing month since we kicked off Sports Corner Daily and we damn sure won’t start now. We are down -3.05 units for the month of May. Time to climb back! Lets Get It!
All that being said, let’s dive into our recap on yesterday’s plays. We missed the mark. Starting in Boston - where the New York Knicks defeated the Boston Celtics 91–90 in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series. Despite the close score, the combined total of 181 points fell short of our 211 point line. The Knicks overcame a 20-point deficit for the second consecutive game, with Mikal Bridges securing the win by stealing the ball from Jayson Tatum in the final seconds. Jalen Brunson contributed 17 points, including two crucial free throws with 12.7 seconds remaining. Josh Hart led the Knicks with 23 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns added 21 points and 17 rebounds. The Celtics struggled offensively, with Jayson Tatum scoring 13 points on 5-of-19 shooting. The Knicks now lead the series 2–0 as it shifts to Madison Square Garden for Game 3.
In our other NBA selection, the Oklahoma City Thunder dominated the Denver Nuggets with a 149–106 victory in Game 2 of their Western Conference semifinal series. The combined total of 255 points surpassed our 229.5 point line. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 34 points in three quarters. Oklahoma City set an NBA playoff record for first-half points with 87, leading 87–56 at halftime. The Thunder's offensive explosion tied the series at 1–1 as it heads to Denver for Game 3.

Tigers -1.5
Analysis:
I have a strong conviction that the Tigers will cover the -1.5 spread in this game because everything points toward their dominance against the Rockies and their favorable matchup here. Detroit has been exceptional this season when favored on the moneyline, winning 75% of those games, with a particularly impressive 77.8% when odds are -170 or shorter, which is exactly the case here. Their offense is robust, ranking fourth in runs scored and sixth in home runs, and they’re led by key contributors like Kerry Carpenter and Riley Greene, who have been impactful at the plate. Conversely, the Rockies are struggling… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
NHL: Carolina Hurricanes vs. Washington Capitals - 1 Unit (+110) - 7:00pm ET

Washington Capitals to win
Analysis:
I really believe the Capitals will come back strong after their tough Game 1 loss because they’ve shown they can perform at a high level, especially over the recent stretch. Their offense, led by Ovechkin and Strome, has been consistently explosive, and their ability to generate scoring chances remains a major strength. Despite some key injuries, they’ve demonstrated resilience, earning 70% of the possible points in their last 10 games, often turning close matches into wins. Playing at home in Capital One Arena should give them… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
