Sports Corner Daily’s Results Weekend Recap

Let’s dig in a bit on some of our plays from over the weekend, starting on Friday where the New York Knicks blew out the Boston Celtics 119-81 in Game 6, coming up a little short on our over 210.5 total. The New York Knicks advance to the Eastern Conference Finals where they will meet the Indiana Pacers, what an interesting series that should be. Boston struggled without Jayson Tatum, who has missed the last two games with an Achilles injury. On the baseball side, the Boston Red Sox fell short against the Atlanta Braves, losing 4-2. Former Sox ace Chris Sale dominated with eight strikeouts over seven innings, while Matt Olson and Sean Murphy provided early offense with solo home runs for Atlanta.

On Saturday, the Dallas Stars defeated the Winnipeg Jets 2-1 in overtime to win their playoff series and advance to the Western Conference Final. Defenseman Thomas Harley scored the game-winner on a power play just 1:33 into OT. In MLB action, the Detroit Tigers lost a tight one to the Toronto Blue Jays, 2-1, failing to cover our -1.5 run line selection. Despite six shutout innings from Reese Olson, the Tigers' bullpen couldn't hold off a late Toronto rally, with Ernie Clement delivering a walk-off single in the ninth

On Sunday, we gave our VIP plays to everyone on Winnable. Hopefully you saw those and tailed us because we ended up ahead on the day overall, getting a little bit back on our rough Friday and Saturday free plays. Here is a short recap on a couple of those wins- the Oklahoma City Thunder dominated the Denver Nuggets 125–93 in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals, easily clearing the over/under line of 213 points. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 35 points, and Jalen Williams added 24, sending the Thunder to the Western Conference Finals with a statement win. In some MLB action, the Chicago Cubs took down the White Sox 6–2 at Wrigley Field, covering the -1.5 run line and completing a three-game sweep. Pete Crow-Armstrong sparked the offense with a triple, a double, and two runs scored, while Seiya Suzuki added two RBIs as the Cubs extended their win streak over the Sox to eight straight games.

Cincinnati Reds -1.5

Analysis:

The Cincinnati Reds are in a strong position to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates and cover the spread tonight thanks to a clear edge in pitching, bullpen performance, and overall momentum. Reds starter Nick Lodolo has been dominant on the road this season, posting a 1.44 ERA and holding opponents to a .186 average, while Pirates starter Mitch Keller has struggled at home with an 0-3 record and a 5.33 ERA. Cincinnati also boasts a top-10 bullpen (3.40 ERA), far outperforming Pittsburgh’s, which ranks 21st with a 4.42 ERA. Offensively, the Reds are hot, riding a four-game winning streak fueled by Will Benson’s power surge—homering in each of those games. Meanwhile, the Pirates are… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

Milwaukee Brewers to win

Analysis:

The Milwaukee Brewers are well-positioned to take down the Baltimore Orioles tonight. The Orioles have lost 6 straight and 22 of their last 31 games, falling to 15-30 with the second-worst run differential in baseball—a clear reflection of poor pitching, weak hitting, and subpar fielding. Their .628 OPS on the road ranks near the bottom of the league, and they now face a Brewers team that’s 12-7 at home with a more consistent offense led by William Contreras and a strong bullpen anchored by Devin Williams. Baltimore’s Dean Kremer has been… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
