Sports Corner Daily’s Results and Yesterday’s Recap

Well, if you tailed us yesterday you woke up feeling kind of how we did today... Like shit. What a bad day. Our worst day in Sports Corner History. Not to be alarmed, we have been doing this long enough to know it's all part of the game. We will stick to our guns, do our research and ensure we are putting, what we feel, the best bets in front of you based on our team's research and custom algos that have netted us big gains since the inception of starting our newsletter!

Let's dive into some of yesterday's blood bath, starting in the NBA where we had two bets on the Orlando Magic and LA Lakers game. The Magic got the win here, beating LA 118-106, hitting our over pick on the game but failing to hit our Lakers -4.5 pick. This was a close game until the Magic went on a run in the third quarter, outscoring the Lakers by 16 to pull away. Magic forwards Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner combined for 62 points in the win. It was a huge win for the Magic who are still fighting for playoff seeding and have now won 3 out of their last 4 games.

Next up, the Phoenix Suns defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 108-106, falling just short of our Suns -3 selection on the game. Kevin Durant led the Suns with 38 points, including 7 threes, to get the much needed win over the Bucks. The Suns are currently the 10 seed in the west so they will need to continue to play great over their final 10 games to have a chance to sneak into the playoffs. They have now won 4 games straight.

In some NHL action last night the Detroit Red Wings got the upset win over the Utah Hockey Club 5-1, making our Utah -1.5 pick a loss. Detroit did most of its damage in the third period in this one, scoring 3 unanswered goals in the period. Detroit improves to 33-31-6 on the season and still has a chance of grabbing a wild card spot in the playoffs.

Today we have 2 bets lined up for you.  Both bets are on the ice. Two, cheap money line bets. Be sure to check out The Full Details and What the Public Thinks on these bets before jumping in. Let’s win some money!

Ottawa to win

Analysis:

This matchup presents the Buffalo Sabres facing off against the Ottawa Senators, marking Buffalo's third game in four days, which could influence their performance due to fatigue. Interestingly, the Sabres have dominated the Senators in their two previous encounters this season, outscoring them 9-1 despite being outshot 73-55 overall. This discrepancy suggests that Buffalo has found ways to convert their scoring opportunities effectively, capitalizing on Ottawa's defensive lapses. However, a deeper analysis reveals that Ottawa ranks fourth in face-off win percentage, while Buffalo is significantly trailing at 25th, indicating potential struggles for the Sabres in puck possession. Additionally, the Senators boast superior special teams and demonstrate greater discipline on the ice, while Buffalo has accumulated the highest penalty minutes this season, which could lead to more scoring chances for Ottawa. Moreover, Buffalo's recent emotional 5-2 victory over the Jets was achieved despite being heavily outshot 36-17, raising questions about their…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NHL: Seattle Kraken vs. Calgary Flames - 9:00pm ET

Calgary to win

Analysis:

In this matchup, the analysis favors the home team, the Calgary Flames, who are resurgent in the playoff race with a three-game winning streak, all achieved on the road. In contrast, the visiting Seattle Kraken are concluding a tough four-game road trip, having struggled significantly by conceding nine goals in their last two losses. The absence of key forward Chandler Stephenson, who has 48 points this season and is likely out for Tuesday's game, further hampers the Kraken's chances. On the other hand, Calgary is poised to start goaltender Dustin Wolf, who has impressive home statistics, including a…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
