Sports Corner Daily’s Results Yesterday’s Recap
Let's take a look at our free plays from yesterday, starting in the MLB, where the Toronto Blue Jays edged out the Philadelphia Phillies 2-1. Alejandro Kirk delivered a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning, scoring Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who had singled and stole second base earlier in the inning. Nick Castellanos provided the Phillies' only run with a solo home run in the second inning. Both starting pitchers performed well: José Berríos allowed one run over six innings for Toronto, while Mick Abel gave up one run over 5⅓ innings in his second major league start. The series is now tied at one game apiece.
In the NHL, the Edmonton Oilers overcame a two-goal deficit to defeat the Florida Panthers 4-3 in overtime, taking a 1-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Final. Leon Draisaitl was the hero, scoring the game-winning goal on a power play with just 31 seconds remaining in the first overtime period. Draisaitl also scored the game's opening goal, while Connor McDavid contributed two assists. Despite a strong performance from Panthers' goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, who made 42 saves, the Oilers' resilience secured the victory.

Under 231 Total Points
Analysis:
Tonight’s NBA Finals Game 1 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers is poised to be a tightly contested matchup, and we like the game to go under 231 total points. The Thunder, known for their elite defense led by MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and rising star Chet Holmgren, have consistently limited opponents' scoring opportunities.
