Sports Corner Daily’s Results Weekend Recap
Let’s take a look at some of our free plays from over the weekend, starting on Friday in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, the Oklahoma City Thunder rallied late to defeat the Indiana Pacers 111–104, leveling the series at 2–2. Shai Gilgeous‑Alexander was unstoppable, erupting for 35 points (including 15 in the fourth quarter), backed by Alex Caruso's 20 off the bench and Jalen Williams with 27. Despite Indiana leading most of the game and maintaining physical intensity, OKC pulled away in the closing moments, showcasing dominant defense and rebounding while the Pacers faded. Meanwhile in Boston, the Red Sox edged the Yankees 2–1 for the weekend sweep. Hunter Dobbins delivered six shutout innings, and after the Yankees tied it late, Carlos Narváez came through with a clutch walk-off single in the 10th.
On Saturday in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final, the Florida Panthers cruised to a 5–2 win over the Edmonton Oilers, taking a commanding 3–2 series lead. Brad Marchand continued his hot streak, Sam Bennett added another goal, and Florida controlled the ice en route to being one win away from repeating as champs. In the MLB, the Tampa Bay Rays blew past the New York Mets 8–4 at Citi Field to sweep the series. Shane Baz tossed five strong innings, and an offensive eruption led by Junior Caminero's homer secured the win.
On Sunday, the Milwaukee Brewers closed out their series with the St. Louis Cardinals with a 3–2 win, taking three of four games. Quinn Priester shined with six innings of one-run ball, while Christian Yelich contributed a single, double, and homer. Trevor Megill nailed down the save in a tense ninth-inning scenario. Next, we saw the Tampa Bay Rays complete a three-game sweep of the Mets with a dominant 9–0 shutout, highlighted by Baz’s six-hit gem and stellar bullpen support. This sweep marks a continuation of Tampa Bay’s impressive run—18 wins in their last 24 games—the best record in baseball during that span.

Phillies to win
Analysis:
Although the Marlins have been playing better ball, the Phillies are favored to win based. Taking a look at the data, they have a strong 37-21 record when listed as the moneyline favorite, which translates to a 63.8% win rate, and an even higher 71.1% when favored at -130 or shorter odds. This consistency shows they tend to perform reliably when odds are favorable. Conversely, the Marlins have only managed a 39% success rate as underdogs, winning 23 of their 59 such games, suggesting they are capable of pulling off surprises but lack…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

Indiana +9.5
Analysis:
The Pacers have been resilient all postseason, going 5–0 straight-up and against the spread after a loss, and Coach Rick Carlisle continues to make impactful adjustments—implementing zone looks and full-court pressure that have disrupted OKC’s rhythm. Indiana’s bench, especially Bennedict Mathurin and T.J. McConnell, gives them a scoring and tempo edge that’s hard to match. While the Thunder pulled away late in Game 4, their reliance on free throws (34 makes) and rebounding (43–33) masked a poor 3-point shooting night (3-for-16), exposing their vulnerability if Indiana cleans up fouling and hits open looks. Game 3 proved the Pacers can…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
