Recapping our plays, starting on Saturday where the Texas Rangers defeated the Atlanta Braves 6-5 in a dramatic 10-inning game at Globe Life Field. The Braves took an early 1-0 lead after Ozzie Albies’ single in the first, but a Texas challenge overturned a second run when Matt Olson was tagged out at home on a throw from Adolis García. Michael Harris II had a standout performance, going 4-for-4 with a solo home run (6th inning), an RBI double, two triples, and three runs scored, giving Atlanta a 5-4 lead in the ninth via a sacrifice fly from Sean Murphy. However, the Braves’ bullpen faltered, with Raisel Iglesias blowing his fifth save in 16 chances, allowing a game-tying double to Jonah Heim in the ninth after Josh Jung’s walk and Sam Haggerty’s stolen base. In the 10th, Marcus Semien delivered a walk-off RBI single off Enyel De Los Santos after an intentional walk to Corey Seager, securing the Rangers’ fifth straight win.
The Cincinnati Reds defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 6-2 at Great American Ball Park, securing their third consecutive win. Elly De La Cruz broke a 2-2 tie with a two-run single in the seventh off Garrett Cleavinger, driving in TJ Friedl and Matt McLain with a bases-loaded bloop hit. Andrew Abbott pitched 6 innings for Cincinnati, allowing 1 run (Yandy Díaz’s 18th home run) on 2 hits with 7 strikeouts and 3 walks, earning a no-decision. Graham Ashcraft secured the win with a scoreless seventh, and Emilio Pagán closed with a perfect ninth for his 22nd save. Ryan Pepiot started for the Rays, allowing 2 unearned runs over 6 innings on 4 hits with 5 strikeouts, but Bryan Baker took the loss after allowing 3 runs in the seventh. Díaz’s homer and Josh Lowe’s RBI single accounted for Tampa Bay’s runs, with only 5 hits and a .161 batting average. The Reds improved to 55-50, strengthening their NL wild card push, while the Rays fell to 53-52, losing 12 of their last 15 road games.
On Sunday, the New York Mets defeated the San Francisco Giants 5-3 at Oracle Park on July 27, 2025, completing a two-game sweep. Ronny Mauricio went 4-for-4 with a home run and 2 RBIs, and Juan Soto hit his 25th home run, a solo shot in the seventh. Francisco Lindor and Brandon Nimmo each drove in a run, with Nimmo’s two-run single in the fifth proving key. Kodai Senga pitched 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits with 3 strikeouts, and the bullpen, led by Edwin Díaz, threw 4 scoreless innings with 6 strikeouts. For the Giants, Matt Chapman hit a two-run homer, and LaMonte Wade Jr. added an RBI single, but Blake Snell couldn’t contain New York’s offense. The Mets improved to 62-44, leading the NL East, while the Giants fell to 54-52, third in the NL West.
The Pittsburgh Pirates shut out the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-0 at PNC Park. Paul Skenes struck out 9 over 6 scoreless innings, allowing 3 hits and lowering his ERA to 1.91. The Pirates’ offense surged against Zac Gallen, who allowed 4 runs over 5 innings. Bryan Reynolds hit a two-run homer in the third, Oneil Cruz added a double and an RBI, and Ke’Bryan Hayes drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. A bases-loaded walk in the sixth capped the scoring. Arizona’s offense managed just 3 hits, with Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte unable to spark a rally. The Pirates improved to 43-62, while the Diamondbacks fell to 51-54 in the NL West.

Blue Jays to win
Analysis:
We knew the Blue Jays had to take a loss at some point and that happened yesterday in Detroit. Good thing is, we were on Detroit and won that game. Before yesterdays loss, they had a hell of a run - winning the first three games of their four-game series at Comerica Park and taking 18 of their previous 22 games to stay comfortably ahead in the AL East. We’re feeling pretty good about Toronto when Chris Bassitt is on the mound. The team has won 12 of his last 16 starts, including the…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

Tigers to win
Analysis:
The Tigers finally broke through with a big win on Sunday, and that could be a sign they’re starting to turn things around. They tend to hit left-handed pitchers better, which could work in their favor against the struggling Diamondbacks. Speaking of which, Arizona’s starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez hasn't had a great year so far, posting a 5.50 ERA—indicating he’s been hittable and inconsistent. The Diamondbacks are also clearly in trouble right now, as they’ve lost momentum and even…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
