Sports Corner Daily’s Results and Yesterday’s Recap
Another split day on yesterday’s plays going 1-1. We mentioned yesterday that we would ride the Brewers until they gave us a reason not to. Well, that happened. The Brewers couldn’t hit the ball and Gilbert pitched a hell of a game for the Mariners with double digit strike outs. Let’s take a deeper look at our plays from yesterday. 👇
✅ MLB: Astros to win - 1 Unit - WIN
The Astros rallied to defeat the Diamondbacks 3-1 at Chase Field. Framber Valdez pitched seven strong innings, earning his 10th consecutive win, while Brice Matthews hit his third home run in two games, contributing to Houston’s comeback. The Astros’ offense produced 10 hits on 36 at-bats, including one home run, with two RBIs, a .278 batting average, and a .742 OPS. Arizona’s offense was stifled after an early lead, managing only one run. The Astros’ bullpen held firm to secure the victory, maintaining their five-game lead in the AL West.
❌ MLB: Brewers to win - 1 Unit - LOST
The Mariners edged out the Brewers 1-0 at T-Mobile Park, snapping Milwaukee’s 11-game winning streak. Cal Raleigh hit a solo home run, his major league-leading 39th of the season, providing the game’s only run. Logan Gilbert was stellar for Seattle, pitching 6.2 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits, and striking out 10. The Brewers struggled offensively, managing only two hits on 30 at-bats, with a .067 batting average and a .218 OPS. Milwaukee’s Jacob Misiorowski pitched 3.2 scoreless innings, allowing three hits and striking out seven, but Nick Mears took the loss. Andres Munoz secured the save for Seattle.

Red Sox to win
Analysis:
Tonight, we like the Red Sox over the Phillies, which is the final matchup of the series with the Phillies aiming for a home sweep. Both teams are expected to be active before the trade deadline, keen to bolster their rosters for the playoff push. Boston’s recent acquisition, Lucas Giolito, has been a standout, posting a 6-2 record and a 3.59 ERA in 14 starts, with particularly strong road performances. He owns a 2.55 ERA in seven away outings, indicating he’s well-equipped to handle pressure and…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
