Sports Corner Daily’s Results Weekend Recap

Let's recap our selections from the past few days, starting on Friday where the Detroit Tigers dropped a tight contest to the Texas Rangers, losing 2–0 in Arlington. Corey Seager broke the deadlock with a clutch two-run double in the eighth inning, lifting the Rangers to their third win in four games. Both starters, Patrick Corbin (Texas) and Reese Olson (Detroit), held strong into the later innings before the decisive blow. In Tampa, the Rays ended a four-game skid with a dominant 11-1 rout of the Orioles. Yandy Díaz smacked a grand slam, and Junior Caminero crushed two homers, powering the offensive onslaught while Tampa Bay snapped Baltimore’s recent momentum.

At Progressive Field, the Athletics upset the Cleveland Guardians 8-2. Shea Langeliers, Jacob Wilson, and Nick Kurtz all homered late, while Luis Severino delivered five solid innings, setting the stage for Oakland’s rally. Meanwhile, in Texas, the Rangers beat Detroit 4-1 behind Kumar Rocker’s stellar outing- he flirted with a no-hitter into the sixth- and a three-run homer from Rowdy Tellez, pushing the Tigers’ losing streak to six games.

In Philadelphia, the Angels closed their series with a statement 8-2 win. Taylor Ward drove in four runs with two doubles, and Jose Soriano pitched seven strong innings to earn the victory. Meanwhile in Tampa, the Rays fell 5-3 to the Orioles. Baltimore powered their response with homers from Jackson Holliday, Ryan O’Hearn, and Alex Jackson, while Trevor Rogers went six innings for the win.

Looking at how things have gone lately, that's a tough sell. Skenes has only had 9 wins in 20 starts and hasn’t been pitching much more than five innings lately, which makes you wonder about his stamina and reliability right now. The Pirates haven't been doing…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

Brewers to win

Analysis:

Getting a plus price on a team riding a ten-game winning streak is rare, which makes tonight’s matchup with the Brewers especially intriguing. Milwaukee enters Seattle on a high note after sweeping the Dodgers over the weekend following the All-Star break. This game will be Brandon Woodruff’s third start since rejoining the team earlier this month. While he has given up three home runs, he’s also demonstrated excellent control by…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
