Sports Corner Daily’s Results Yesterday’s Recap
We had a split day again yesterday going 1-1 on our plays. We were able to come out with a couple bucks because of our +135 play on the Brewers which is a bit of a positive considering a split day. We have a 2 unit play on the card today on our first play.
Let’s start our recap in Minneapolis where the Minnesota Twins beat the Chicago Cubs 4-2. Minnesota struck early, scoring two runs in the first inning via an RBI single from Ryan Jeffers and a Carlos Correa double. Matt Wallner added a solo homer in the third, which proved decisive. Starter David Festa earned the win, giving up two runs over 5 1⁄3 innings. The bullpen delivered 3 2⁄3 scoreless frames to close it out, with closer Jhoan Durán picking up his 14th save. The Cubs, meanwhile, managed only four singles through eight innings and went 0‑for‑5 with runners in scoring position. Colin Rea takes the mound next for Chicago, while Minnesota will counter with Chris Paddack.
Next, in Milwaukee, the Brewers completed a three-game sweep of the Dodgers with a thrilling 3-2 walk‑off win in the 10th. Dodgers starter Tyler Glasnow made a strong return from the injured list, tossing five innings with five strikeouts and allowing only one unearned run. Los Angeles led until the ninth, but a blown save by Tanner Scott on Andrew Vaughn’s pinch-hit single sent the game to extras. In the 10th, Jackson Chourio delivered the winning hit- a single to left scoring Sal Frelick- while Trevor Megill struck out the side in the top of the inning to close it. The loss marked the Dodgers’ sixth straight defeat, their longest skid since 2019.

Cubs to win
Analysis:
Last night, the Cubs suffered their second straight loss in Minneapolis and are eager to bounce back in this afternoon’s game. Thankfully, they have a strong record after a loss this season, standing 27-10 overall and an impressive 7-2 following back-to-back defeats, which bodes well for their mindset. A key factor in their favor is that Colin Rea will be starting for the Cubs; throughout his career, his teams have won 56 of his 90 starts, with a +28.4 net games tally, and he’s been particularly effective on the road, going 24-13 for a +17.1 net games overall. Conversely, the Twins’ pitcher Chris Paddack has faced recent struggles, winning just two of his last nine starts, and his…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
