Yesterday Sports Corner Daily missed the mark a little going 1-2 in our selections, but continued our hot run on the ice in recent months improving to 13-4 in those picks since October. In some college basketball action last night, Ohio State and Minnesota played a close game that ended up going to double overtime. In the end, Ohio State squeaked out a 89-88 win missing our -5 pick. Parker Fox led all scorers with 21 for Minnesota. 

In some college football action, North Dakota State got the win over Montana State in the FCS Championship game 35-32. North Dakota State started out fast, scoring the first 14 points and leading the game at halftime 21-3. Montana State made a comeback in the second half, cutting the lead to 3 points three separate times but couldn't get the stop needed to tie it up or take the lead.  

On the ice last night the Buffalo Sabres got the win over the Washington Capitals 4-3. The game went to a shootout, with Buffalo scoring two goals back to back in the shootout that fueled the win. JJ Peterka scored the final goal for Buffalo, and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen blocked the final shot attempt by Jakob Chychrun to secure the win. Washington falls to 26-10-3 and Buffalo improves to 14-21-5.

We are on the Oilers to win this one tonight. The Bruins are facing their third game in just four days and have played three more games this season than the Oilers. NCAAB: Nebraska Cornhuskers @ Iowa Hawkeyes - 8:00pm ET

Iowa to win

Analysis:

The Cornhuskers have only played one true road game outside their state and were heavily defeated in East Lansing. Although Iowa struggled in their last game against Wisconsin, I believe that sets them up for a strong performance here. The Hawkeyes rank second in the Big Ten and 23rd nationally with an average of 10.4 made 3-pointers per game.
