Sports Corner Daily had a split weekend going 3-3 in our selections for the weekend. Starting on Friday, we had some college basketball action with Michigan State defeating Ohio State 69-62. Michigan State led for the majority of the game and led by 14 points at one point. Ohio State made a run and took the lead about halfway through the second half but was unable to pull off the upset. Michigan State moves to 12-2 on the season and 3-0 in Big Ten play so far this season. 

On the Ice, the Anaheim Ducks were able to keep it close for our +2.5 selection, falling to the Edmonton Oilers 3-2. The Oilers were able to score in every period while keeping the Ducks scoreless in the first period. Edmonton improves to 23-12-3 and are in the playoff race in the Western Conference. It has been a disappointing start to the season for the Ducks who now sit at 16-18-4. 

In the NFL over the weekend, we had Saturday and Sunday games and picks. Starting on Saturday we saw the Baltimore Ravens have no problems with the Cleveland Browns, beating them 35-10. For the Ravens, Derrick Henry had a monster game, rushing for 138 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Ravens will host division rival Pittsburgh in the wild card round next weekend. On Saturday night we saw the Bengals squeak out an impressive 19-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, covering our -1.5 pick. Unfortunately the Bengals fell just short of the playoffs and their season is over. 

On Sunday, we saw the New York Jets beat the Miami Dolphins 32-20 to end any chance the Dolphins had of sneaking into the playoffs. Aaron Rodgers finished with 4 touchdowns in what could have been his last game in the NFL. We will have to wait to see what he decides to do next. In our other Sunday selection, the Arizona Cardinals pulled away late from the 49ers, winning 47-24 and hitting our -4.5 pick. Kyler Murray threw for 4 touchdowns in the game, 2 of those going to wide receiver Greg Dortch. Arizona had a good season considering the low expectations and will look to build on that next season.
