Sports Corner Daily had a split day going 2-2 in our selections overall. In the last game of the quarterfinals in the college football playoffs, Notre Dame had a convincing 23-10 win over Georgia. Georgia was without starting QB Carson Beck who got hurt in the SEC championship game and had to rely on backup Gunner Stockton. Notre Dame’s defense looked impressive, limiting opportunities for Georgia who couldn't get much of anything going on offense. Notre Dame moves on and will have a matchup with Penn State in the semifinals. 

On the ice last night, the Bruins couldn’t pull off the victory for us, losing to the Rangers 2-1. The Rangers scored both goals in the first period and move to 17-19-1 on the season. Boston started out pretty strong this season but have now lost 3 of the last 4 and fall to 20-16-4 overall. In our other hockey pick, the Dallas Stars got the win over the Ottawa Senators 4-2. Dallas rallied from a 2-1 deficit after the first period to get the win, scoring in every quarter. Roope Hintz scored 2 goals for Dallas to secure the win and improve to 23-13-1 on the season and sit in 6th place currently in the Western conference.
