Sports Corner Daily’s 👀 Results from 01/01/2025
Sports Corner Daily had another successful day yesterday, going 2-1 in our selections and continuing a hot streak in our NHL selections. We are currently 8-2 in our last 10 picks on the ice.
In some college football action yesterday, Texas and Arizona State played what certainly was the best game of the college football playoffs so far. Texas came out quick taking a 17-3 lead and things looked dicey for ASU, but ASU battled back and tied the game with 5 minutes remaining. Texas missed back to back field goal attempts to win the game and to overtime we went. Both teams scored in the first overtime period but ASU’s magical season came to an end in the second overtime as they couldn't match Texas’s touchdown so Texas got the win 39-31.
In the second game of the playoffs, Ohio State got their revenge from the earlier meeting this season with Oregon, with the Buckeyes absolutely dominating the Ducks to a 41-21 win. This game wasn’t ever close, with the Buckeyes leading the game 34-8 at the half. The Buckeyes continue to look like the team to beat in the playoffs and ended Oregon’s undefeated season. Ohio State's freshman receiver Jeremiah Smith was unstoppable, ending the game with 7 catches for 187 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ohio State will match up with Texas next week which should be an awesome matchup.
Looking forward to today, we have 4 selections for you. Sports Corner Daily looks to continue the hotstreak on the ice with 2 NHL picks as well as 2 college football picks. Let's continue the winning ways in 2025!

Today's LIVE Bets:
NCAAF: Notre Dame @ Georgia Bulldogs - 4:00pm ET
Notre Dame to win
Analysis:
Given the advantages Notre Dame holds in terms of consistent performance and Georgia's struggles with a backup quarterback, we predict the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will win this matchup. I'm calling a final score of [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
NHL: Boston Bruins @ NY Rangers - 7:00pm ET
Boston to win
Analysis:
The New York Rangers are struggling significantly, having lost 15 of their last 19 games since November 21. Despite making lineup changes and trades, the team has not seen improvement, and goalie Jonathan Quick has not performed well in December, [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
NHL: Ottawa Senators @ Dallas Stars - 8:00pm ET
Dallas to win
Analysis:
Both teams are entering this matchup with distinct trajectories. The Dallas Stars have been a powerhouse in the Western Conference while the Ottawa Senators are still finding their footing in the highly competitive Atlantic Division. The game will likely start with both teams feeling each other out, but expect the Stars to steadily assert their dominance. If they [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
NCAAF: Duke @ Ole Miss - 8:00pm ET
Under 51.5
Analysis:
I believe the total score will be under 51.5 in tonight's matchup between Duke and Ole Miss. Duke is in a tough spot after losing both of their top quarterbacks to the transfer portal, leaving them with third-stringer Henry Belin IV, who has only thrown one pass this season. On the other hand, Ole Miss boasts an elite defense that has allowed less than [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
