Let’s talk about our selections from yesterday. Starting in some college basketball action, the #12 Kentucky Wildcats went into Knoxville Tennessee and defeated the #8 Tennessee Volunteers 78-73. Kentucky was down 2 starters but that didn’t seem to matter in this one, as the Wildcats led for the majority of the game. Kentucky had a balanced attack as all 5 starters scored in double figures. Now Kentucky gets to head back to Lexington as they await the return of former head coach John Calipari as he brings Arkansas into Rupp Arena on Saturday.
In our other college basketball selection, the Wyoming Cowboys defeated the Fresno State Bulldogs 83-72 in overtime, hitting our Wyoming -8 selection. Wyoming hit a huge three at the end of regulation to get this one to overtime where it was all Wyoming, as they outscored the Bulldogs 16-5 in OT. The Bulldogs rough season continues as they fall to 5-16 overall and just 1-9 in conference play.
In our last selection of the night, the New York Islanders defeated the Colorado Avalanche 5-2. This game was close until the third period, where the Islanders scored 4 goals to put the game away. Wing Simon Holmstrom scored 2 goals for the Islanders who improved to 22-20-7 on the season and have now won 5 straight games.

Today's LIVE Bets:
NCAAB: Houston Cougars @ WVU Mountaineers - 7:00pm ET
West Virginia +8
Analysis:
I see potential for West Virginia in this matchup at home. Houston is entering the game after an intense double-overtime victory against Kansas, which could affect their energy levels. Just two weeks ago, Houston defeated the Mountaineers by 16 points, but West Virginia has demonstrated its ability to upset strong teams, recording notable wins over Arizona, Gonzaga, Kansas, and Iowa State this season. Although West Virginia has dropped two consecutive games, their resilience against high-caliber competition remains evident.
Moreover, Houston has kept its last two Big 12 road games close, indicating that this contest might also be competitive. Given the circumstances, I'm inclined to take the Mountaineers at +8. Grab a line of +8 or better as the game approaches. The public likes Houston to cover so we are against the public on this one. 64% of the public bets are on the Cougars…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
NCAAB: Murray State Racers @ Evansville Purple Aces - 8:00pm ET
Over 131.5
Analysis:
The dynamics in the Missouri Valley Conference are shifting, particularly for Evansville. The Purple Aces have seen an uptick in their scoring, which coincides with the return of freshman standout Gabe Pozzato. He has made a significant impact, contributing a total of 34 points in the last two games against UIC and Valpo. Additionally, senior guard Tanner Cuff added 22 points in the matchup against Valparaiso, indicating that head coach David Ragland's offensive strategy is finally taking shape. This surge in scoring has helped Evansville achieve three consecutive games with totals exceeding 131.5 points.
On the other side, Murray State has consistently leaned towards high-scoring games this season, boasting a 9-4 record in their last 13 outings. Under head coach Steve Prohm, the team showcases a well-rounded offense featuring four players averaging double digits in scoring, led by senior guard Jacobi Wood. This combination of factors suggests that both teams are likely to continue trending towards higher scorelines in their upcoming matchups…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins @ Utah Hockey Club - 9:30pm ET
Utah to Win
Analysis:
Pittsburgh finds itself in a challenging position as it wraps up a seven-game road trip that began on January 14. The Penguins have struggled, losing their last three games and managing only one goal in each match. The absence of future Hall of Famer Evgeni Malkin, who has recorded 34 points this season, is a significant blow, compounded by reports of illness circulating through the team—though many franchises are facing similar health concerns.
Interestingly, Pittsburgh has never played a game in Salt Lake City, which adds to the uniqueness of this matchup. On the other hand, Utah is poised to welcome back top defenseman Mikhail Sergachev, who has tallied 30 points this season but has been sidelined due to a multi-game injury. Although the home team has underperformed in its new arena since relocating, it has managed to secure victories in its last two home games. The public likes Pittsburgh on this one pretty heavily with 84% of the public bets on the Penguins to win. So, we are against the public. We do like our chances here as our NHL record this season is 27-14 which is a 65% strike rate…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
