Sports Corner Daily had a split night last night, going 1-1 in our picks. In our first selection yesterday saw the Buffalo Sabers get the win over the Vancouver Canucks in Vancouver. The Canucks had a great second period, leading 2-1 heading into the third, and had us feeling like we were going to win our Canucks ML pick. Unfortunately Buffalo scored two goals in the third period to steal the win. Buffalo improves to 18-24-5 on the season and still have a lot of work to do to sneak into playoff contention. 

In our other pick last night, we saw the Philadelphia Flyers get the win over the Detroit Red Wings 2-1 in overtime, securing our ML pick on the Flyers. It was a big win for the Flyers, who are still within striking distance of one of the wildcard spots in the eastern conference. The Flyers improve to 22-20-6 on the season and are now on a three game winning streak. They will look to keep the streak alive against the New York Rangers next.
