Jan 21st | 🏒 Tough Day Recap & Today’s Picks: Canucks & Flyers Set to Bounce Back

Betting Breakdown: Canucks’ Streak Potential & Flyers’ Home Dominance

Sports Corner Daily’s đź‘€ Results from 01/20/2025

Sports Corner Daily had a bad day yesterday, going 0-2 in our selections. Starting in some hockey action, the Pittsburgh Penguins upset the LA Kings 5-1 in LA. The Kings were unable to generate much offense in this one, and dug themselves into a 3-0 hole midway through the second period. It was a pretty shocking result for the Kings who are fighting to stay in playoff contention and currently are one of the playoff teams in the Western conference.

In the college football National Championship game, the Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 34-23. Ohio State came out strong and led the game 31-7 at one point. Give credit to Notre Dame for fighting back and making it competitive, but they couldn't complete the comeback, giving up a late field goal to put the game out of reach. Ohio State QB Will Howard was on fire, completing 17 out of his 21 passes and throwing for two touchdowns. Congrats to Ohio State on being the first team to win the new 12 team playoff, what a fun season.
