National Championship Showdown & NHL Picks Inside!

Sports Corner Daily’s 👀 Results from The Weekend

Over the weekend Sports Corner Daily had a tough go with our picks, going 2-4-1. There were some last second line moves that changed a lot of outcomes for bettors this weekend depending on what time people got in on the bets. Starting our recap on Friday night, we had some college basketball action. UCLA put a whooping on Iowa, winning 94-70. This game was over early, as UCLA led 34-11 halfway through the first half and led 57-24 at half. Both teams sit at 12-6 after this game and have some work to do to make the tournament. In our other college basketball selection, Fresno St beat Air Force 74-65 cashing our Fresno St -3 selection. Fresno jumped out early in this one, leading 41-24 at half. Air Force battled back but couldn’t secure the comeback. Guard Zaon Collins had 23 points in the win for Fresno St.

In some NFL action over the weekend, we saw some upsets that changed the playoff picture quite a bit. In a game that wasn't an upset, the Chiefs took care of business against the Texans 23-14. The Chiefs are on the hunt for the elusive 3-peat and secured their ticket to the AFC Championship game here. They will take on the Bills next weekend. In the Saturday night game, we saw the Washington Commanders pull off the upset of the weekend, knocking off the #1 seed Detroit Lions 45-31. Rookie QB Jayden Daniels continues to be an electric force for the Commanders as the Lions just couldn't get the stops when they needed to to have a chance at a comeback. The Commanders will now go on the road to Philly to take on the Eagles next weekend.

On Sunday, we had 2 more awesome games. First we saw the Philadelphia Eagles narrowly escape the LA Rams, winning 28-22. The Rams had a chance at the end to win this one, but couldn't get the touchdown they needed. The Eagles will now play divisional rival Washington in what should be a great matchup. In the night game, we saw Buffalo pull off the upset 27-25 as they were home underdogs in their matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. This one also came down to the wire and looked to be heading to overtime, but Ravens tight end Mark Andrews dropped the ball on a two point conversion that would've tied the game at 27. Buffalo now heads to Kansas City to play the Chiefs in what should be a great matchup.

Looking forward to today, we have 2 picks for you. Be sure to check out The Full Details and What the Public Thinks on these bets before jumping in. Let’s win some money!

Today's LIVE Bets:

NCAAF: Ohio State Buckeyes @ Notre Dame - 7:30pm ET

Notre Dame +8.5

Analysis:

In the 2025 College Football Playoff National Championship, the Ohio State Buckeyes are favored by 8.5 points over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, but the Irish have the tools to keep it competitive. Notre Dame enters with a 14-1 record and a 13-game winning streak, demonstrating their resilience after an early-season loss. Quarterback Sam Hartman has been the leader of the Irish offense, throwing for 3,900 yards and 35 touchdowns with only six interceptions. The run game, led by Jeremiyah Love (1,185 rushing yards, 12 TDs), complements Hartman’s passing attack, giving Notre Dame a balanced offensive approach. Defensively, Notre Dame has excelled, allowing just 18.5 points per game, thanks in part to the efforts of star pass-rusher Jordan Botelho, who has 11.5 sacks, and a secondary anchored by Benjamin Morrison, who has six interceptions this season. This defensive unit will be tested by Ohio State’s high-powered offense, led by quarterback Devin Brown (4,200 yards, 37 TDs) and freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, who has racked up 1,320 receiving yards and [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins @ LA Kings - 10:30pm ET

Los Angeles to win

Analysis:

The Los Angeles Kings (24-12-5) host the Pittsburgh Penguins (18-20-8) tonight at Crypto.com Arena. The Kings have been formidable at home, boasting a 14-2-1 record, and their defense ranks among the league's best, allowing just 2.6 goals per game. Offensively, Adrian Kempe has been a key contributor, leading the team with 20 goals. In contrast, the Penguins have struggled on the road with a 6-10-5 record and have faced challenges in goal-scoring, averaging only 2.8 goals per game. Given Los Angeles's strong home performance [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
