Sports Corner Daily’s đź‘€ Results from 01/13/2025

Sports Corner Daily had a good day yesterday, going 2-1 in our selections. Starting our recap in some college basketball action, we saw the Maryland Terrapins beat the Minnesota Golden Gophers 77-71, hitting our over 138.5 pick. Maryland continues to have a good season, improving to 13-4 and getting back to .500 in conference play. Derik Queen led all scorers with 27 points for the Terrapins.

On the ice last night, the Edmonton Oilers beat the LA Kings 1-0. Connor McDavid scored the only goal for Edmonton who are winners of 6 of their last 7 and are now 27-13-3 on the season. Edmonton sits at 4th in the conference currently and has a big matchup against the Minnesota Wild in their next game.

In some NBA action last night, the Golden State Warriors fell to the Toronto Raptors 104-101. The Warriors are in a mid season slump, losing 4 out of 5 and are now under .500 for the season, sitting at 19-20. Steph Curry scored 26 points in the loss to the Raptors who are 9-31 on the season. The Warriors might need to be active before the trade deadline if they hope to make the playoffs this season.

Looking forward to today, we have 4 picks for you. Be sure to check out The Full Details and What the Public Thinks on these bets before jumping in. Let’s win some money!

Today's LIVE Bets:

NCAAB: Ball St. Cardinals @ Ohio Bobcats  7:00pm ET

Ball St +10.5

Analysis:

Ball State has won five of their last six games, including an impressive 91-69 rout of Bowling Green on Saturday. The Cardinals boast a unique strength in the MAC with 6'10" center Payton Sparks, a dominant presence who has scored 19 or more points and grabbed at least 12 rebounds in four of the last five games. Complementing Sparks is JUCO guard Fatt Hill, who provides balance with his 16.5 points per game and ability to stretch the floor. On the other side, the Ohio Bobcats, despite being favorites, are just 4-8 against the spread as chalk this season. While they are coming off a commanding win over a struggling Northern Illinois team, their inconsistency makes them vulnerable to a competitive Ball State squad with the tools [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NHL: Florida Panthers @ New Jersey Devils - 7:30pm ET

New Jersey to win

Analysis:

The New Jersey Devils are well-positioned to secure a win against the Florida Panthers tonight in a matchup that could preview the Eastern Conference Finals. The Devils enter the game with strong momentum, boasting a six-game home winning streak and a recent 3-2 overtime victory over Tampa Bay. Offensively, Jack Hughes continues to lead the charge, while defensively, New Jersey has been formidable, allowing one or fewer goals in eight of their 19 games this season. Meanwhile, Florida has made a questionable decision to start backup goaltender Spencer Knight, who has struggled  [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NHL: Calgary Flames @ St. Louis Blues - 8:00pm ET

St Louis to win

Analysis:

The Blues have been thriving under head coach Jim Montgomery, posting a 3-0-1 record and allowing just 1.25 goals per game during this stretch. Dylan Holloway has been a key contributor offensively, with a three-game goal streak and a four-game point streak. In contrast, Calgary is on the second game of a back-to-back, with backup goalie Dan Vladar expected to start after Dustin Wolf played Monday. Vladar has struggled, losing four straight games while allowing 17 goals and managing only three wins in 10 road starts with a 3.07  [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Evansville Purple Aces @ Northern Iowa Panthers - 8:00pm ET

Under 133

Analysis:

Evansville struggles offensively, averaging just 65.3 points per game and ranking near the bottom in offensive efficiency nationally. The Purple Aces also face challenges on the road, often unable to generate consistent scoring opportunities against tougher defenses. Northern Iowa, while more efficient on offense, plays at a methodical pace, averaging 68.2 points per game and emphasizing ball control over quick scoring. Their defense has been effective in limiting opponents to just 62.8 points per game at home. Additionally, both teams [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
