Sports Corner Daily had a great Christmas day with family and friends but had a rough day with our sports selections. With both the NBA and NFL on it was still a great sports day. In some NFL action yesterday, the Chiefs are starting to pick up their overall play and are reminding everyone why they have been so dominant these past few seasons and have only lost one game this season. They took it to Pittsburgh yesterday, winning 29-10 in a game that wasn't really close ever. The Chiefs jumped out the gate scoring the first 2 touchdowns in the first quarter and added another 13 points in the fourth quarter. Patrick Mahomes threw for 320 yards and 3 tds. The Chiefs are really starting to peak at the right time of the season.

Last night Sports Corner Daily was on the wrong end of a crazy 5 overtime game in the Hawai’i Bowl. South Florida kicked a field goal at the end of regulation that got the game into overtime. From there it was a back and forth game that was an exciting watch, South Florida batted down a pass in the 5th overtime to win the game. The first half was what killed San Jose State, giving the ball back to South Florida on 2 turnovers and giving up a kick return touchdown, they trailed 21-10 at half.

Looking ahead to today's slate of games, we have some great NFL and NBA action. In the evening game the Ravens absolutely demolished the Texans 31-2. The highlight of this blowout might've been Beyonce performing the halftime show. CJ Stroud couldn't get anything going and the Texans couldn't stop the exciting tandem of Derek Henry and Lamar Jackson. Lamar Jackson is making a push for his third MVP award and the Ravens are one win away from clinching that division and getting a home playoff game.

In some Christmas day NBA action, the Knicks and Spurs played a very close back and forth game. In the end the Knicks won 117-114. Victor Wembanyama put on a Christmas day show and led all scores with an impressive 42 points and 18 rebounds. Later in the day, the 76ers upset the Celtics 118-114. Tyrese Maxey led all scorers in this one, scoring 33 points and helping his team secure the win. It was a big win for the 76ers who had an injury scare with Joel Embiid hurting himself in the pregame shoot around but ended up playing through it. The 76ers still have an uphill climb this season as they sit at 11-17 on the season.

Looking forward to today, we have two selections for you. Lets get some wins today!
