Sports Corner Daily delivered another solid performance last night, going 2-1 on our selections and boosting our overall record to an impressive 86-37-2.
In some college football bowl game action last night James Madison defeated Western Kentucky 27-17, coming through on our -7 pick. James Madison outscored Western Kentucky 20-3 in the second half despite having their starting QB out due to injury. UNLV was also able to win their bowl game and hit our -3 pick, defeating Cal 24-13. UNLV scored in every quarter and held Cal scoreless for the entire second half. UNLV finishes the season with an impressive 11-3 record.
In an early college basketball tip yesterday, Dartmouth fell short against Le Moyne, losing 80-76. Both teams have struggled this season, with Dartmouth dropping to 4-7 and Le Moyne improving to 5-8. AJ Dancier led Le Moyne with a 20-point performance, helping them pull off the upset.
Looking ahead, Sports Corner Daily has four picks lined up for today, including an NBA player prop that our experts are particularly excited about. Don’t miss out on the action!
✅ NCAAF - UNLV -3 - Win
✅ NCAAF - JMU-7 - Win
❌ NCAAB - Dartmouth to win
Today's LIVE Bets:
NFL: Denver Broncos @ L.A. Chargers - 8:15pm ET
Chargers -2.5
Analysis:
The Broncos defeated the Colts on Sunday, but their offense struggled, gaining only 192 yards over 13 drives and scoring with drives of 5, 15, and 35 yards, plus a defensive touchdown. Meanwhile, the Chargers also suffered a blowout loss but have not performed well against strong teams like the Buccaneers, contrary to the Broncos. In their first matchup, the Chargers led 23-0 going into the fourth quarter, with Denver's first seven drives totaling just 63 yards. Although there was hope for Bo Nix’s improvement, he didn’t demonstrate it against Indy. Consider taking the Chargers at -2.5 while it's still available. You know here at Sports Corner Daily we are not always with the public and this one is another example. The public likes Denver on this one coming in at 69% in favor of the Broncos to cover.
NBA: New York Knicks @ Minnesota Timberwolves - 9:30pm ET
Minnesota to win
Analysis:
Both teams are well-rested, but the Wolves have struggled to cover at home this season, though they still have a solid home record of 8-4. The Wolves have already faced three blowout losses to Western Conference teams this season, but a narrow victory by just one point is all that's needed here. We are riding with the public where 77% of them are in favor of the Wolves to win.
NCAAF: Georgia Southern Eagles @ Sam Houston Bearkats - 7:00pm ET
Under 48.5
Analysis:
With head coach KC Keeler leaving for Temple and many players in the transfer portal, there are significant uncertainties about Sam Houston's lineup for the New Orleans Bowl. The Bearkats have gone under the total in 9 of 12 games this season, including six straight, making it hard to see the over hitting unless Georgia Southern scores in the 30s. If Keeler had remained and the transfer portal wasn't a concern, a Sam Houston victory would seem likely. However, given the current uncertainties, we predict the under to hit here. The Public disagrees with us here coming in at 62% in favor of the over.
NBA: Golden State Warriors @ Memphis Grizzlies - 8:00pm ET
Dennis Schroder Over 14.5 Total Points
Analysis:
Dennis Schroder is set to make his Warriors debut on Thursday against the Memphis Grizzlies, who he faced as a Net just last Friday. In their three matchups this season, he scored 33, 20, and 15 points. As a veteran, he should seamlessly fit into the Warriors' system, making it a good opportunity to bet on his points over.
