Wednesday 08/06/2025: +2.1 Units

MLB: Brewers to win 1 Unit (+110) - WIN - +1.1 unit

MLB: Padres to win - 1 Unit (-140) - WIN - +1 unit

Lets take a closer look at our plays from yesterday, where the Padres bounced back with another late-game rally to take the series in Phoenix. Trailing 2–1 late, Ryan O’Hearn tied the game in the ninth with a leadoff home run - his first with San Diego. Xander Bogaerts followed with a double and later scored the go-ahead run on Jose Iglesias’ RBI single. Closer Mason Miller worked around a walk to seal the win for San Diego. Starter Nestor Cortes had a shaky debut, allowing two runs in 4 2⁄3 innings, while Adrian Morejon logged two scoreless frames to earn the win. The Padres’ bullpen held firm as Arizona went 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position.

Next up, Milwaukee completed a sweep in Atlanta with a gritty 5-4 win. Blake Perkins crushed a two-RBI homer, and Andrew Vaughn extended his hitting streak to a career-best 12 games (batting .435 with 5 homers and 16 RBIs during run) by adding a solo shot as well as an RBI groundout. Starter José Quintana gave the Brewers six solid innings, allowing three runs while striking out seven. Trevor Megill closed it out despite yielding a homer in the ninth. Atlanta had multiple chances but stranded 14 runners, including missed opportunities with the bases loaded.

Athletics -1.5

Analysis:

After erupting for 16 runs and 24 hits on Tuesday night in D.C., the Athletics’ bats cooled down on Wednesday, but they had been on a roll prior to that, winning five straight road games and consistently scoring in bunches. This offensive firepower suggests they have the ability to rebound quickly against Washington’s pitcher Mitchell Parker, who has struggled recently. Parker’s July ERA of 6.04 worsened last Friday when he was rocked for 8 runs across just 4 innings by the Brewers, and the Nationals' pitching staff as a whole has shown signs of vulnerability, having given up 54 runs over their last…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

MLB: Miami Marlins vs Atlanta Braves - 1 Unit (-115) - 7:15pm ET

Marlins to win

Analysis:

Atlanta looks like they’ve flat-out mailed it in. Three straight losses and a season that’s gone completely off the rails. Meanwhile, Miami has something to play for. They’re clawing back to .500 and hanging around in the Wild Card race, and tonight’s matchup gives them a real shot to keep the momentum going. The key edge here is on the mound. Eury Pérez has been a monster lately, rocking a 1.06 ERA over his last six starts, and on the season, he’s holding a 2.70 ERA with a 0.94 WHIP, 26% strikeout rate, and barely giving up homers. On the flip side, Atlanta trots out Carlos Carrasco, who’s way past his…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
