Sports Corner Daily’s Results and Yesterday’s Recap
Check out a quick recap of our FREE plays from yesterday. ⤵️
Thursday 08/28/2025: -.15 Units
❌ MLB: Red Sox -1.5 - 1 Unit (-115) - Lost - -1.15 unit
✅ NCAAF: Buffalo +17.5 - 1 Unit (-110) - Win - 1 unit
Let’s unpack how our two picks played out, starting at Camden Yards in Baltimore, where the Sox pulled off a tight 3-2 win but didn’t get past the -1.5 line. Garrett Crochet was once again his efficient self - six innings, seven strikeouts, and only two runs allowed - with some timely defensive support, including a diving play by Trevor Story. The game was finally cracked open in the eighth: Roman Anthony started it with a walk, and Romy González delivered the go-ahead RBI single. Despite Boston’s late inning heroics, the margin wasn’t enough for our play to cash.
Shifting to Thursday’s college football action: Buffalo, as big 17½-point underdogs, showed plenty of fight against Minnesota. The Gophers leaned heavily on freshman Drake Lindsey (290 passing yards, 2 TDs) and Darius Taylor on the ground (141 rushing yards), building a 13-point lead by the end. But the Bulls’ defense stiffened up late, limiting Minnesota to field goals and keeping the final score within the spread - earning us the win despite the loss.
Our VIP members went 2-0 in NCAAF yesterday, and we’re 4-0 to start the season.

Sam Houston +10
Analysis:
UNLV’s season got off to a shaky start, and it wasn’t exactly the type of performance that inspires confidence. Facing Idaho State (a middle-of-the-road Big Sky team) the Rebels struggled mightily on both sides of the ball, and it left plenty of skeptics questioning whether Dan Mullen is the right fit in Las Vegas. Virginia transfer Anthony Colandrea was a pleasant surprise with his ability to move the ball through the air and on the ground, and running back Jett Thomas looked explosive, finding the end zone three times. But those positives were overshadowed by a defense that surrendered a staggering 555 yards to the Bengals, and if not for a pair of costly turnovers late, UNLV may have been staring down a disastrous upset. On the other side, Phil Longo’s Sam Houston State squad showed…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
NCAAF: Central Michigan vs San Jose State - 1 Unit (-120) - 10:30pm ET

San Jose State -13.5
Analysis:
San Jose State quietly put together a respectable 7-6 campaign last year despite breaking in a brand-new coaching staff and returning almost no offensive production from the prior season. This time around, the Spartans enter with much more stability, bringing back quarterback Walker Eget and running back Floyd Chalk to lead an offense that should take a step forward behind a solid line. The defense also returns six starters, particularly from a unit that was stout against the run in 2023, which sets up well in their opener against a Central Michigan team replacing a lot of offensive firepower. The Chippewas had a rough go of it on the road last year, finishing 0-6 straight up and 1-5 against the spread, and now new head coach Matt Drinkall faces a brutal…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
