Wednesday 08/13/2025: -0.3 Units
❌ MLB: Blue Jays to win - 1 Unit (-120) - Lost - -1.3 unit
✅ MLB: Brewers to win - 1 Unit (-120) - WIN - +1 unit
Let’s take a closer look at our two picks from yesterday, starting on the road in Toronto, the Cubs earned a hard-fought 4-1 win behind a stellar performance from rookie Cade Horton, who struck out a career-high eight over 5 2/3 innings, extending his scoreless streak to an impressive 28 innings. Anthony Busch and Matt Shaw provided the offense, each smacking a homer- Busch’s leadoff blast in the third marked his 23rd of the season. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. broke through with an RBI double in the sixth to finally score, but Cubs' relievers held firm. The night ended on a somber note, as catcher Miguel Amaya suffered an ankle injury and was carted off the field.
The Brewers powered through the Pirates with a dominant 12-5 win, extending their win streak to 12 games- now one of the longest in franchise history. William Contreras drove in four runs, Christian Yelich added three, and the Milwaukee offense went off with eight extra-base knocks. Brandon Woodruff limited Pittsburgh to four hits over four scoreless innings, while reliever Jared Koenig earned the win with a clean one-inning stint. Bryan Reynolds was the lone spark for the Pirates, delivering two homers and all five of their runs.

Under 8.5
Analysis:
Tonight’s Cubs vs. Blue Jays matchup lines up well for the under 8.5 total runs, with both advanced metrics and recent trends pointing toward a low-scoring game. Chicago sends Matthew Boyd (11–5, 2.45 ERA, 1.05 WHIP) to the mound, who has allowed two runs or fewer in 11 of his last 13 starts, while Toronto counters with Max Scherzer, whose xERA, exit velocity, and hard-hit suppression remain elite despite some recent inconsistency and who owns a 2.82 ERA against the Cubs in his career. MLB: Detroit Tigers vs Minnesota Twins - 1 Unit (-130) - 7:40pm ET

Tigers -1.5
Analysis:
Detroit holds a clear edge behind ace Tarik Skubal, who leads MLB with a minuscule 0.86 WHIP, ranks top-3 in strikeouts (187), and currently posts a 2.35 ERA with 11-3 record- marking him as the most reliable and dominant pitcher in the Tigers rotation. Skubal has also tormented the Twins in recent outings, recording multiple scoreless starts against them- including a historic 13-strikeout game with just one hit allowed. In contrast, Bailey Ober, who gets the nod for Minnesota, owns a troubling 5.16 ERA and 1.38 WHIP, allowing over two homers per nine innings and surrendering 14 long balls in his last five starts before landing on the injured list. Offensively, Detroit has been… Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
