Sports Corner Daily’s Results and Yesterday’s Recap

Lets get into the recap from last night's selections, starting in the NBA , where the Oklahoma City Thunder continued their dominant playoff run with a 118–99 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, covering the 14.5-point spread and taking a 2-0 lead in their first-round series. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 27 points, while Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren contributed 24 and 20 points respectively. Holmgren also added 11 rebounds and five blocks. The Thunder capitalized on Memphis's 15 turnovers, converting them into 25 points, and maintained a significant advantage in fast-break points over the first two games. Despite efforts from Jaren Jackson Jr. and Ja Morant, who scored 26 and 23 points respectively, the Grizzlies couldn't overcome Oklahoma City's offensive efficiency and defensive pressure.

In NHL action, the Florida Panthers defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 6–2 in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series. Matthew Tkachuk made a strong return after a two-month absence, scoring two power-play goals and adding an assist. Nate Schmidt also contributed two goals, while Sam Bennett and Sam Reinhart each had a goal and an assist. The Panthers' power play was particularly effective, going 3-for-3. Tampa Bay's Jake Guentzel and Brayden Point scored the team's only goals, and goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed six goals on 16 shots. The Panthers now lead the series 1-0.

Boston to win

Analysis:

Boston cruised past Seattle in Tuesday's matchup, and there’s plenty of reason to stay behind the Red Sox for Wednesday’s contest. One key advantage is how the game played out—Boston’s four-run outburst in the bottom of the seventh broke things open, allowing them to rest their top bullpen arms in the final two innings. That kind of bullpen preservation can be crucial over a long series. On the mound for Seattle is Emerson Hancock, who enters with an inflated 12.71 ERA through limited action this season. While that number is likely… Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

Miami +12

Analysis:

While the zig-zag theory—backing the team that lost Game 1 to cover in Game 2—only cashed once in three chances last night, it’s still a time-tested angle worth considering throughout the NBA playoffs. That applies here following Cleveland’s 121-100 win over Miami in Game 1, a result that may look more lopsided than the game actually was. The Heat trailed by just single digits midway through the fourth quarter before the Cavs pulled away late. A key spark for Cleveland came from an unlikely source… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
